Современные структурно-территориальные сдвиги в промышленности сельской местности Республики Молдова

Abstract

The lack of large investments in production domain, emigration of labor resources, a low level of infrastructure development in rural area and other factors caused significant structural and territorial changes in the industry of rural area of the Republic of Moldova. In addition, transformations in industry are determined by gradual weakening of economic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation. In new conditions there is a gradual replacement of the branches of industry that were oriented towards Russian market by the sectors which are adapted to the demand of Western European outlet. A comparative analysis of structural and territorial changes in the industry of rural areas of three regions of the Republic of Moldova (Bricheni, Strasheni, ChiadirLunga) during 2002-2010 years is undertaken in the research. The dynamics of development of four types of industrial enterprises that are determined by different outlets of finished products (international or local) and origin of raw materials (imported or home) is investigated in the work. The article also presents several development models of the industry of rural areas in the Republic of Moldova in dependence on internal and foreign policy.
