Estimarea consecinţelor instituirii zonei de liber schimb aprofundat şi cuprinzător dintre Republica Moldova şi Uniunea Europeană (un scenariu posibil)

Abstract

The current negotiations on the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, together with the prospect of negotiations on a deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement and on Visa Liberalization contain leverages to foster the liberal delivery of commodities, services, people and capital. In this context it is very important to estimate the effect of just liberalization. So, it will be presented a possible scenario of development of trade economic relations between Republic of Moldova and EU as result of creation of free economic zone. We made our estimation at the basis of partial equilibrium model embedded in World Integrated Trade Solution (WITS) —database and software package developed by UNCTAD and World Bank.WITS includes software with the possibility of modeling and extracting information and allows to estimate the impact of tariff reductions on trade flows, tariff revenue, and consumer surplus for a single market at a time. Our results of study can be used in the process of negotiations on a deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with EU as well on creation of free trade zone with Turkey.
