Abstract

We live in a society where we are up against a chaos deriving from the technological and economic development the origins of which come especially from the United States, given that a significant part of human activities are carried out at a scale and horizon so large that they cross national borders. This phenomenon is called globalisation, a term that involves more than meets the eye. As the field of human activities expands more and more beyond the nation state regulations, the legal provisions and regulations have become too narrow. Multinational corporations, global financial markets, non-governmental organisations have been set up, but also criminal organisations and international terrorist networks have been created.
