Creșterea economică în epoca globalizării: riscuri, factori și perspective

Abstract

One of the most important impact of the 2007-9 crisis consists in erosion of confidence in free markets and capacity of the government to reestablish the macro-equilibrium with sustainable economic growth, low unemployment rate and low prices, especially on oil and other energy resources. To restore this confidence and regain market credibility is crucial important to revise existent model of economic growth, putting the emphasis on knowledge economy and its major influence in form of a) informationtechnology revolution and b)pro-entrepreneurial revolution. How these issues are addressed by the U.S. and advanced economies, by emerging markets and especially by the so-called BRICs (acronym of the first letters of Brazil, Russia, India and China) – a block of economies with the most impressive growth performances, in context of globalization, facing new constraints and risk factors? Not accidentally these subjects focused the attention of some famous economists, Nobel Prize laureates (Krugman, 2008; Spence, 2011; Stiglitz, 2010). The author analyzed a new paradigm of economic growth in context of globalization in series of articles and in recently published text-book on the basics of economic theory.
