Abstract
After a fall in 2009, the national economy seems to recover steadily from the crisis, recording in 2010 a surprising growth – of 6.9%. However, the rapid recovery after the shock and the recorded economic growth on the one part "has revived the business in the country" and on the other has highlighted an important issue: what are the factors determining the growth in Moldova. Unfortunately, the answer seems to be not too optimistic: the growth of national economy is not generated by internal factors. The economic growth has been determined by consumption mainly from remittances and the reality shows that Moldova has limited internal capacity to generate qualitative growth.
