Abstract
The development of rural areas due to tourism and recreational activities, especially in the conditions of growing urbanization, encourages the creation of new thematic routes in this direction. The World Tourism Organization UNWTO defines rural tourism as a type of tourism activity in which the visitor's experience is linked to a wide range of products, usually related to nature, agriculture, rural lifestyle, culture, fishing and sightseeing. The development of tourist activities in rural areas can contribute to the improvement of the economy of rural areas, the attraction of new resources and the improvement of the quality of life of the local population, which requires the formation of a new offer of a tourist product based on alternative types of tourism in rural areas.
