Abstract

The present study debates the role of tradition for the economic performance in a world that is indisputable under the sign of globalization. A common ground is that globalization kills tradition and evens the world. Yet, a series of business indicate that success comes from uniqueness and the roots of such uniqueness lays in tradition. Such subject is of great actuality, because it may answer to the question regarding economic performance, but also reuniting two contraries: globalization and localization. The purpose of the paper is to explain the relationship between tradition, innovation and globalization – all of these related to economic performance. The research methods to be used are documentation and comparison – scientific methods that are specific to the International Relations and Compared Management research domains. The envisaged results are to send the message of not giving up goods produced in a traditional fashion and which represent the local culture.
