Direcții de implicare ale educației în formarea condițiilor necesare unei creșteri economice sustenabile

Abstract

At the beginning of the XXI century occurs the transition to the knowledge society, which is based on regularities of the dynamic development of the quality of the individual, of the education systems and social intellect. This situation leads the scientific community to investigate educational phenomena attracting in scientific discourse such sciences as philosophy, psychology, economics, sociology, anthropology. Within economics, research on education are meant to highlight the contribution of education to national economic potential recovery, in order to ensure economic growth. Quantification of the contribution of education to economic growth is realized through the human capital, social capital or externalities, each element representing an aggregation of values, skills, knowledge, competencies formed in the educational process. Investigation of educational phenomena conducted at national level will be directed towards estimating the capacity of the education system to contribute to the human and social capital formation which features would be consistent with national strategies aimed at achieving sustainable economic growth.
