Development of the agri-food sector in the Republic of Moldova
(INCE, 2015) Stratan, Alexandru; Moroz, Victor; Ignat, Anatolie; Lucasenco, Eugenia
The agri-food sector of the Republic of Moldova has undergone significant changes in the past decades. In the context of Moldova's European aspirations, the modernization of the agri-food sector must comply with European patterns and trends that will allow the agri-food industry to adapt to the requirements of international markets, especially in terms of safety and quality of food. The trade policy pursued by the Republic of Moldova at the current stage is focused on geographical diversification of the agri-food exports, primarily to reduce the risks caused by widespread non-tariff measures to protect domestic markets. The main drivers of the integration processes are private business operators and traders. However, the efficiency of the newly emerged food value chains is still low. This investigation was done in the framework of the FP7 project “AGRICISTRADE” using the official statistical data, qualitative and quantitative studies and other relevant publications. In this paper the importance and the most recent changes of the agti-food sector of the Republic of Moldova were demonstrated, the main impediments were analyzed and proposals to foster the agri-food sector development were provided.

But when you want to buy a property, you must take into account the reputation of the developer, degree of industrialisation of the area and the State of the infrastructure. The investments in the economic terms are the current sacrifice of resources in the hope of obtaining future superior results: under the influence of time in terms of economic efficiency and the spectrum of risk.

Rolul guvernării inteligente în asigurarea dezvoltării durabile a Republicii Moldova
    (IEFS, 2012) Sturza, Alexei
In the 21st century there are different, even contradictory, economic and managerial theories, practices, and trends. But two of them are considered one of the most influential and perspective – sustainable development (SD) and knowledge (or smart) governance (k-G). The former appeared in 1980s and the latter in 2000s. They are seldom collated, but we consider that it can generate a synergic effect: kGaccelerates SD and vice versa. SD, including green economics (green meetings, office, procurement, energetically efficient technologies, waste management, etc.) and social eco-bio-economy, provide for a complex harmonization of the 3 basic human development components – economic, social, and environmental. K-G focuses on establishing policies, regulations, institutions, processes, structures, and capacities for knowledge, innovation and technology (KIT) acquisition and for using the acquired KIT to improve the quality of people’s life and work, including of government’s own operations and system. SD and k-G are very useful for all countries, including the Republic of Moldova and may become new and major directions of its development. Two relevant strategies (Moldova 2020 and e-Transformation (e-T)) have been recently adopted by the Government. The former isn’t perfect (including isn’t ecologically oriented) and must be improved; the latter is more successful and is being actively implemented now.

    (IEFS, 2012) Garbuz, Veronica
The given article is addressed to the issue of intersectorial themes: linking of educational system (it is taken in the account the high education) and at the same time, of employment (labor market) in Moldova. The lack of a monitoring system in the relationship between the educational supply, the actual demand and the future labor market has led to major failures, such as: narrow specializations, unconcern in training specialists in certain domains and overcrowding of the others, etc. At the very end of the article, there are brought recommendations, in order to reduce/to solve the problems.
