Abstract
Since 2008, the European Commission recognized the central role of SMEs in the EU economy by adopting the document "Small Business Act" for Europe, to which Republic of Moldova subsequently aligned together with the principles outlined in this document. Namely the European Law on Small and Medium Sized Enterprises emphasized Liberal professions that currently play an important role in the economic and social development of the EU member states. However, even if one of the six EU companies operate in specific sectors for liberal professions, a clear and common regulation to all the member states of the European Union does not exist. Duet o the fact that regulation of this sector is different for each member state, this article comes to analyze the regulatory system of the liberal professions in European countries, in order to find the best policy models for SMEs from the Republic of Moldova. The following methods have been used during the investigation:literature and analytical materials generalization, comparative analysis.
