Insurance companies have significant net flows of cash, stemming especially from insurance premiums paid by clients. These funds are an important source of stable funding for public authorities, SMEs, banks and other companies. In this article we present the dimensions of funds held by insurance companies and show the impact of these funds on an economy. We will focus on the role of insurance as a provider of long-term financing, but also on their importance in reducing economic uncertainty, their contribution to maintaining social stability and support innovation .en_EN
