Item Reliefarea rezultatelor științifice prin instrumente bibliometrice(2024) Coslet, Ecaterina; Jitari, EvelinaThe article provides an overview of the use of bibliometric analysis in modern scientific research and analyzes its capabilities and limitations. Bibliometrics and scientometrics are common practices in academia, providing objective tools for measuring the impact and relevance of research. In recent decades, interest in bibliometrics has grown significantly with the development of modern bibliometric databases such as Web of Science, Scopus and Google Scholar. Bibliometrics provides detailed information about scientific publications, including the number of publications, citations, co-authors and other indicators. These data are useful for evaluating individual and institutional performance in research. Bibliometric data analysis is used in a wide range of scientific fields, contributing to the identification of trends, forecasts, and sociological and historical studies of science.
