Pescuitul fluvial recreativ în Uniunea Europeană

In the last century, the number of commercial fishermen decreased considerably and recreational fishing has become a major inland activity in the developed countries. Recreational fisheries in the European Union is an important activity with positive social, economic and environmental effects, and acting as stimulator of the river biodiversity conservation. This paper highlights the current status of inland recreational fisheries in the European Union.
