Item Agricultura ecologică – ramură strategică pentru dezvoltarea durabilă a agriculturii în Republica Moldova(INCE, 2023) Cimpoies, Liliana; Cosalic, DianaAmong the trends in the development of the sustainable agriculture, the field of "ecological agriculture" has a priority role, because the European Union policies also place an increased emphasis on the development of the ecological agriculture. Thus, EU member countries have approved, as a priority objective, the increase of the agricultural areas in the ecological system up to 25% of the total cultivated areas, by the end of 2030. Unfortunately, Republic of Moldova didn’t align such an objective, however, the concept of developing the ecological agriculture came out in the early 90s when The Professor Boris Boincean – the promoter of agricultural science, developed the sustainable agriculture in the Republic of Moldova. This branch is a very promising one, for an impressive number of enterprises in the Republic of Moldova, due to the effects of the climate changes, lower production cost, in comparison to the conventional agriculture and the rapidly global growing demand for organic products. The Ecological products also have a positive impact over the employment process, therefore, it has a very low impact on the environment, and it encourages: responsible use of the energy and natural resources; preservation of biodiversity; preservation of the ecological balances; increasing soil fertility; maintaining water quality. As producers and processors from the Republic of Moldova seek to capitalize these opportunities, the Government is making considerable efforts to create favorable conditions for the development of this sector.Item Dezvoltarea agriculturii ecologice: perspective pentru Republica Moldova(INCE, 2022) Cimpoies, Liliana; Cosalic, DianaEcologic agriculture makes a major contribution to protecting the environment, maintaining the natural balance and obtaining valuable agricultural products that do not affect the health of the population. In recent decades, ecologic agriculture has developed rapidly in most countries. This is due to the negative reaction of the population to the consequences of intensive agriculture to some components of the environment and the health of consumers. In the Republic of Moldova there are quite favorable natural climatic and soil conditions for practicing ecologic agriculture. During the last years, the share of ecologic agriculture in the intensive agricultural system is increasing. The purpose of this research is to analyze the level of development of ecologic agriculture in the Republic of Moldova, the trends and challenges that exist. The research is based on the analysis of data on the dynamics of the cultivated areas within the organic agriculture of Moldova, the number of operators in organic agriculture and their territorial distribution. In order, to assess the state support for ecologic agriculture, the number of beneficiaries for subsidizing the development of ecologic agriculture was examined. The study is based on statistical information provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI), the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA). The current level of development of organic farming has been modest with slow growth in recent years. A push for the transition to organic farming is the increase in the prices of inputs used by traditional agriculture. An important role is to stimulate scientific research in determining new ways of preventing diseases and pests, an important issue for increasing the efficiency of ecologic agriculture.Item Impedimentele întâmpinate de fermierii din agricultura organică în accesarea subvențiilor în Republica Moldova(INCE, ASEM, 2024) Cosalic, DianaThe Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union regulates the field of "organic farming" as a strategic priority for the 2022-2027 development period. Additionally, the member countries of the European Union have set a priority objective to increase the agricultural areas of organic farming up to 25% of the total cultivated agricultural land, by the year 2030. To date, the Republic of Moldova has not approved a similar objective, but identified a mechanism to stimulate the maintenance of agricultural land in the ecological circuit and increase of those areas. Starting with the year 2005, when the Government of the Republic of Moldova approved the policy for the development and stimulation of organic farming, initiated the process of identifying and monitoring farmers practicing organic farming. During the same period, the process of subsidizing agricultural land under organic farming and refunding of 20% of ecologically certified and marketed products also initiated. As the Government of the Republic of Moldova strives to identify financial resources to stimulate farmers in organic farming, producers and/or processors make considerable efforts to apply modern soil management technologies, increase productivity, generate income, and achieve profitability.
