Item Analiza comerțului exterior cu fructe al Republicii Moldova(INCE, 2022) Ceban, AlexandruExportul de fructe deține o cota semnificativa din totalul exporturilor de produse agroalimentare, care, la randul lor, dețin o cota impunatoare in totalul comerțului extern. Acest segment al agriculturii, printr-un șir de beneficii, determina o tendința de perspective pozitive pentru domeniul dat și din an in an atrage tot mai mulți specialiști și persoane de afaceri din domeniul agrar gata pentru a investi și a dezvolta direcția data. Balanța comerciala pozitiva ce o deține Republica Moldova in segmentul respectiv demonstreaza faptul ca țara este capabila de a face fața concurenței, insa acest fapt nu semnifica ca potențialul este realizat pe deplin. Pe de alta parte, exista și riscuri care trebuie luate in considerație ce sunt specifice sectorului creșterii și comercializarii fructelor. Lucrarea urmarește scopul de a efectua o analiza a situației ce ține de comerțul extern cu fructe. Metodele de cercetare folosite pentru articolul dat sunt: analitica, descriptiva, comparativa, precum și prin prisma indicatorului Avantajul Comparativ Relevat. Aceste metode au permis de a efectua o analiza a sectorului, de a identifica punctele forte și cele slabe și de a formula unele concluzii cu privire la situația comerțului cu fructe la etapa actuala.Item Analysis of the agri-food external trade of the Republic of Moldova by regional country groups(Artifex, 2022) Lucasenco, Eugenia; Ceban, AlexandruThe aim of the paper is to analyze the recent changes in the agri-food trade of the Republic of Moldova, with an emphasis on the regional country groups: EU, CIS and other countries. With the purpose to carry out the analysis, the comparative, analysis and synthesisi research methods have been used, with the main data source related to national statistics on trade provided by the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova. As a result, changes in the trade patterns have been observed, with a reorientation of Moldovan agri-food exports from CIS countries to EU ones, as a result of the implementation of DCFTA in the Republic of Moldova.Item Assessment of shadow economy in Moldova using the input-output model in 2014(INCE, 2016) Ganciucov, Valentina; Gutium, Tatiana; Ceban, AlexandruThe shadow economy is the bane of modern society. Paradoxically, as the community is poorer, the level of the shadow economy is higher, which in turn leads to lower allocations in the budget, and as a consequence reduces social benefits, reducing the real wages of public sector employees, and the decline in living standards. Therefore, evaluation of the shadow economy is actual for any country in the world. The purpose of research is assessment of the shadow economy in the Republic of Moldova for 2014. From the methodological point of view, the authors used input-output balance method to identify and assess non-observed economy. As a result, the authors had identified elements of non-observed economy for a product group, and had calculated the losses of the state budget.Item Development of sour cherry production in the Republic of Moldova(INCE, 2023) Ceban, Alexandru; Lucasenco, EugeniaSour cherries represent one of the most important Moldovan fruits grown in the Republic of Moldova, with a great potential for modernization and further development of production. There is noticed a slow grow in terms of surface, as well as production and averge yield per hectare for sour cherries. At the same time, exports account for about 19% of the total production. Compared to world exports, sour cherry production in the Republic of Moldova possesses a very high Revealed Comparative Advantage index. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to carry out an analysis of sour cherry production in the Republic of Moldova, to analyze the current situation, development trends as well as the degree of international competitiveness for the given product with respect to the world trade. Thus, the research methods selected and used for the given article refer to the analytical, descriptive, comparative method, as well as through the Revealed Comparative Advantage indicator. Although the demand for sour cherries is increasingm, there are some existing issues in the field that need to be addressed in order to have a successful horticultural business. At the same time, the paper presents a specific argumentation for the existence of a development potential of this sub-sector in order to persuade farmers to get engaged in this specific activity.Item Dynamics of the foreign trade of the Republic of Moldova in terms of laspeyres indicators(INCE, 2017) Ceban, AlexandruThe analysis of the foreign trade allows determining the potential markets for export, main economic trade partners and exported / imported goods, the level of participation of a country in the world trade, as well as the degree of country’s competitiveness on the external and internal market, which determines the actuality of the researched topic. The paper presents the analysis of the external trade of the Republic of Moldova, observed through Laspeyres indicators, in order to determine the recent developments and find out the most competitive products or sectors that would influence on the development of new dimensions of the national trade. The paper has been developed based on the following research methods: Laspeyres index method, analysis and synthesis which allowed drawing up conclusions, as well as comparative method for the comparison of main trade partners and products. The most relevant results of the paper present a slight recovery of the national economy, while the exports and imports grow modestly. At the same time, an increase in exports to other countries (except CIS and EU countries) is noted, which have the potential to become future strategic partners for the Republic of Moldova.Item Evolution of the Republic of Moldova's Non-Observed Economy(AGEPI, 2017) Ganciucov, Valentina; Ceban, Alexandru; Gutium, TatianaEvolution of the Republic of Moldova‘s Non-Observed Economy. In this article are described the types, elements and methods of assessment of the Non-Observed Economy. In addition, is analyzed the dynamics of informal sector production, hidden production of formal sector and production of households for own final use in the Republic of Moldova. The authors have analyzed the Non-Observed Economy of EU countries and other groups of countries. It is evaluated the level of the shadow economy and calculated losses of the state budget on basis of research and using the inter-branch balance.Item Forecasting production of domestic goods and main macroeconomic indicators(INCE, 2018) Ganciucov, Valentina; Gutium, Tatiana; Ceban, AlexandruManaging both the modern state and the enterprises is impossible without forecasting and elaborating several development scenarios that would take into account the available resources and reflect the most likely results. The forecast has become a part of daily life and a fundamental tool for assessing development prospects. Therefore, the task of improving the economic-mathematical model for the development of forecasts is relevant, especially in modern conditions, when the national economy is subject to many factors, both external and internal. The main goal of the research is to forecast the production of domestic goods and the main macroeconomic indicators using the economic-mathematical model adapted by authors to the new conditions for the development of the Moldovan economy, considering that the share of the non-observed economy in 2016 is less than in the previous year, but remains significant. The main methods used in this study: the "input-output" method, econometric methods of research and forecasting, regression analysis, the method of analytical calculation, the method of mathematical modelling of economic processes. The existing public support schemes for greening agriculture are more related to mitigation of the climate change effects, with less focus on preserving the environment, and their share in the total public support is relatively low. The paper aims to analyze the existing public support schemes related to climate change adaptation and greening of sector and provide a series of recommendations for their improvement. In order to achieve the main aim of the paper, the following scientific methods have been used: generalization of empirical and applied material, induction and deduction methods for making the paper conclusions, comparison method and analytical one. In order to be in line with current greening EU policies, Republic of Moldova must adapt some of its public support schemes for the agricultural sector and pay more attention to development of a coordinative mechanism and advice services.Item Highlights, concepts and methods in addressing the shadow economy: theoretical approach and some countries’ experience(”Independenţa Economică”, 2020) Timus, Angela; Ceban, AlexandruFrom ancient times the shadow economy has always found various ways and means to have its presence in any national economy in various forms. The development of this phenomenon leads to an economic activity parallel to the official one, which will eventually lead to the loss of control of the state authorities. The paper aims to make a general analysis of the theoretical aspects of shadow economy, being focused on concept approach, methodology of evaluation, as well as presentation of some countries’ experience in assessing the shadow economy. Taking into account that the paper has a pronounced theoretical character, the research methods are mainly focused on bibliographic research of foreign and local articles of scholars who dedicated their work to assessing the shadow economy. At the same time, a series of other scientific research methods have been used such as: the logical-abstract method, the method of comparison, the monographic method, etc. The main results are focused on development of an own definition of shadow economy by the authors and assessment of evaluation methods through their advantages and limits.Item Impactul Covid - 19 asupra activității economice a producătorilor din sectorul agricol al Republicii Moldova(Artifex, 2021) Iatisin, Tatiana; Ceban, AlexandruThis paper presents the results of the survey on the impact of the COVID - 19 pandemic on agricultural producers. Agriculture represents the primary branch of activity of the entire population, being an important source of income and providing about 27% of the rural population with jobs. The share of agriculture in GDP during the last 6 years was about 10-12%. The purpose of the paper was to assess the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on agricultural producers, identify problems and challenges they face in this difficult period, develop measures, recommendations to mitigate the consequences of the COVID - 19. This study is based on the results of the survey of agricultural producers through questionnaires.
